Mom (Fae) and I (William) visited Winkie tonight. Mom really wanted to rub some Miracle II Gel on his feet, along with some cayenne tincture. A health specialist friend of ours in New Zealand recommended rubbing a little cayenne on his feet. As she was doing this, I was simply watching him, talking to him, etc. All of a sudden, he sort of jerked a bit, and his one eye that was partly open, opened wider. Believing him to be partly conscious, I asked him to blink for me one time if he could understand me. In the count of about 2 he slowly blinked his eye one time. Now you must understand he never blinks. Since I've arrived I haven't ever seen him blink. So, excited by this I began to talk more to him, believing him to be more cognizant of what I was saying.

There were no doctors around to ask of any change in his condition. However, glad to say his heart rate was at a more normal rate, which leads me to believe the fever he was fighting has subsided.
