Winkie is not getting better. He is getting worse. His carer has said that without serious prayer, it does not look good.

Winkie is not improving and they are keeping him in ICU. He is now conscious, but now has pneumonia and his bowels are not operating correctly. They have just performed a CAT scan and are looking at that right now.

He has been taken off the respirator, but he is not really able to talk. Fae's only communication with Winkie is via a 3rd party. They are not allowed to use telephones in ICU.

Now we have the issue of finances. As those of you who have had Winkie come and speak know all too well, Winkie has never in 44 years of ministry ever asked for money. He has no fee to come and speak, and replies solely on whatever he is given. Winkie also has no health or travel insurance. He lives completely on faith. If you feel lead to send Winkie some money, please do so. We also want to fly Fae out to South Korea to be with her husband right now, and we want to do that ASAP.

I have just received an email from Winkie's carer in South Korea. Unfortunately things are quite serious, and this is why I have asked people not to take reports other than from Fae or I first hand. I will post on this blog immediately I have any word. An email was going around saying that Winkie was "ok". My concern is that if reports like that are believed, people may cease their prayers. Our brother needs our prayers like never before. The situation is very serious. Winkie is NOT "ok".

Right now Winkie is still in ICU and is being kept unconscious through sedation until the doctors feel he has healed enough. I have more detailed reports on his surgeries. His first surgery was on the 26th and was a herniotomy. The next day it was clear there was more at play than a hernia, so on the 27th Winkie underwent major surgery on his whole abdominal cavity. They found sever adhesion of his bowel which was causing intestinal obstruction. The condition of his transverse colon was very severe, so they performed a segmental resection where portions of his colon were removed entirely. In addition to this, he suffered micro ruptures at certain points that have been repaired.

He is being kept sedated as his kidney function has stopped and they are waiting for that to recover. He is also having complications with his lungs that are not ventilating correctly, and they have him on a ventilator until he can breath on his own.

This all said, he is progressing through all this thank to your prayers from all over the globe, and from the skillful hands of Dr Lim, a Christian surgeon and member of the ministry that had invited Winkie to speak. He is in excellent hands in a first grade hospital in South Korea.

I know we will get through this and Winkie will be back on his feet before we know it. Do continue to pray earnestly for his miraculous recovery.

I have just spoken with South Korea.

Winkie is still in ICU and will be for the next 2 days. His conditional is no longer critical, but serious enough that he will remain in ICU for at least the next 48 hours. Portions of his bowel were removed and it is now a wait to make sure they are now functioning normally again.

Winkie's Dr is Dr Lin.

Please continue to pray for Winkie and his Dr. Also remember Winkie's wife Fae in your prayers. Winkie's son is currently in the Sudan and is unaware of his fathers condition.

There have been other people posting reports about Winkie's situation. It would be best to disregard anything you hear unless it is from Fae Pratney or myself.

Thank you so much for your prayers. It is beautiful to see the Body fall to it's knees in intercession at this time.

Winkie is still in ICU. He has had his appendix and some of his bowel removed. His condition is stable.

My friends, our brother Winkie is not doing well at all and he needs our intercessory prayers at this time.

Winkie chose to go to Korea to do a conference. He was admitted to hospital and underwent surgery 2 days ago for a hernia. His condition has unfortunately only gotten worse. He has just come out of surgery on a second operation, and they have placed him in ICU. In this second operation his intestines were removed and examined and possibly operated on. His digestive system has completely shut down at this time.

The LORD has brought Winkie a teaching surgeon who is a believer and is performing the operations himself, so Winkie is in good hands.

Well it's 2am in the morning and I think I ought to get to bed.

I have put many of Winkie's tracts online as PDF files. I have also put them all into a .zip archive if you want to just download them all. You can view these tracts in your browser or download them. You can also print them and distribute as you wish.

Also fresh today is Session 2 of the 21st Century Reformation Manifesto (21CR) in video. I also improved the navigation, making it more obvious. As will always be the case, it is iPod ready. Just download, add to iTunes and it will sync to your iPod video for viewing anywhere. The quality is very very good and I'm surprised the file size came out at only 112MB. I plugged my iPod into the TV here and the quality onscreen and in audio was just superb. Give it a go!

Well I managed to do a lot today. I have the first of the 21st Century Reformation Manifesto videos online. I can put 2 more up for free as well. The rest may be purchased on DVD, and perhaps a download for iPod. I will have to see about that, because the video files will be huge. All the video I am putting on this site will be in iPod-ready format. Just add it to iTunes, sync your iPod, and it's on your iPod. Heres the direct link to the video of the 21CR Intro.

Also online tonight is the book Winkie wrote with his son Billy, The Daniel Files. It was available on the old site, but as numerous individual PDFs broken by each section of the book. Now it's all in one convenient PDF for free download. This book has a wealth of practical information for living daily life, and is a must read for anyone in missions. I can't promise daily updates to this site, but I should be getting new content up on here at least twice per week. I would sure appreciate your feedback too.

I should introduce myself, in case you think I am Winkie Pratney. I am not the legend himself, I am just his friend and bodyguard :P My name is Israel Anderson, and I'm the creator of God's iPod, the Christian podcast site. I've been working with Winkie for several years now, and I am based on the YWAM Tyler base. I will be sharing news with you here and collecting material from Winkie that I'll post on this site.
